Neighborhood Networks Program
Houston Housing Resource, Inc. was awarded funds from the Neighborhood Networks Grant. The purpose of the Public Housing Neighborhood Networks (NN) program is to provide grants to public housing authorities to either update or expand existing NN community technology centers or to establish new NN centers. These centers offer comprehensive services designed to help public housing residents achieve long-term economic self-sufficiency. The Housing Authority will be expanding services in the areas of computer training, résumé writing classes, access to the Internet to enhance job searches, job-readiness workshops, workplace relationships workshops, post-employment assistance, and life skills training. To complete pre-registration for this program, please contact Stacy Johnson at 713.754.7217.

Computer Resource Centers
Computer resource centers are located at each public housing community featuring workstations equipped with Internet access and Microsoft Office programs. The computer centers provide a tremendous resource for residents to enhance their computer literacy, educational skills and marketability for employment.
