Applications for 2017 HHR Scholarship now OPEN


The Houston Housing Authority's nonprofit affiliate Houston Housing Resource (HHR) annually provides scholarships to graduating, high school seniors who are public housing residents or Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV/Section 8) clients. The HHR's mission is to create innovative approaches to self-sufficiency, advance affordable housing, and improve quality of life for low-income Houstonians.The Houston Housing Authority is pleased to announce that Carmen V. Orta scholarship applications will be accepted from December 1, 2016, until April 14, 2017. To apply, simply complete an application, write an essay as described below, provide two letters of recommendations, proof of community service, SAT or ACT scores and a current transcript.
