Kris Thomas is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and an active member of the board of the UH Law Alumni Association. Her legal career started in private practice pursuing litigation and when the local Houston economy experienced a downturn in the mid to late 1980’s she pursued bankruptcy law assisting debtors in need of a fresh start. Thereafter, to accommodate family time constraints, she accepted a position as a career employee of the United States Bankruptcy Court. Married to her law school sweetheart, and with their two kids grown, Kris and her husband enjoy fishing and their two little yappy dogs, and two indifferent cats
