Below are some highlights of how the Afforable Care Act will impact and/or benefit you:

  • The cost of health insurance will become more affordable with lower premiums and revised eligibility criteria for Medicaid and Medicare
  • Dependents can remain on their parents' health insurance policy, until the age of 26
  • Pre-existing conditions will be accepted by health insurance companies
  • Individuals can purchase insurance on their own
  • Penalties will also be assessed for individuals and families deciding to waive their enrollment in a health plan

Open Enrollment begins November 15, 2014

Coverage begins January 1, 2015

Open Enrollment ends February 15, 2015
