Program Overview

The Houston Housing Authority YouthBuild Program is seeking motivated young adults ages 16–24 who reside in zip codes 77056, 77057, 77063, and 77081 who are ready to take the next step in life. This engaging program allows participants to develop their leadership skills, prepare for the workforce, and grow personally while providing them with practical construction experience and a high school equivalency credential. Whether you’re looking to jumpstart your career, further your education, or make a positive impact in your community, HHA YouthBuild is here to help you succeed.

Empowering At-Risk Youth Through Education and Vocational Training

The Houston Housing Authority YouthBuild program will provide in-house educational and vocational training services aimed at empowering at -risk youth.  By experiencing real- world construction scenarios young adults learn how their education relates to their careers, HHA YouthBuild aims to prepare young adults for completion of the high school equivalency exam and provide them with practical skill training and industry certifications, ultimately creating the next generation of leaders!
