VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION UPDATE

VISN 16 – Houston VA Medical Center – Announcement

Dear Veteran,

The Houston VA is hosting a Walk-in COVID Vaccine clinic on Saturday, February 20, at our main VA Medical Center, located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030.

Veterans who receive care at the Houston VA or any of our community based outpatient clinics who are 55 years or older can walk in to the main medical center (main entrance) to get a COVID vaccine.

The walk-in clinic doors will open at 8 a.m. and will remain open until vaccination limits are reached. No appointment is necessary. Vaccines will be given on a first come first served basis.

If you already have an appointment to get the vaccine at our medical center Saturday, please keep that appointment. Let the staff at the main entrance know that you have an appointment.

Veterans can park in any visitor or Veteran parking lot and enter through our main entrance. Valet parking will not be available. Those wishing to be vaccinated must bring identification, wear a mask to enter the facility, maintain social distancing, and not be ill, including having any COVID symptoms such as coughing or a fever.

Veterans will receive a two-dose series of vaccinations and will receive an appointment for their second vaccine dose when they check in to get the first dose.

Veterans who are 55 years and older and would like to make an appointment to get the COVID vaccine during the week at the Houston VA can call us at 713-794-8985.

Thank you for choosing the VA as your healthcare provider. It is our honor and privilege to serve you.
