HHA’s new Prepaid Debit Card Program is here! Effective December 1, 2012, your Utility Reimbursement Payment (UAP) will be deposited directly onto a Prepaid Debit Card for your convenience!
Effective December 1, 2012, HHA will no longer print paper checks.
There will be certain months where the first of that month falls on a weekend, on those dates, funds will be deposited into your account on the following Monday. The dates include:
December 3, 2012
January 2, 2013
June 3, 2013
September 2, 2013
December 2, 2013
HHA has partnered with Bank of America to issue your new debit card. In the next few weeks, you will receive information from Bank of America concerning your new card. Once you receive your new card, activation is required. It is important that debit card recipients read all correspondence received from HHA and Bank of America.
The Prepaid Debit Card Program is only for families who receive a monthly UAP. If your family qualifies for a monthly UAP, HHA will enroll you automatically to receive a Prepaid Debit Card by mail. All UAP payments will be deposited onto your debit card without exception.
The Prepaid Debit Card Program offers:
* Time Savings-Faster access to funds and funds automatically available; no checks to cash;
* Access-Funds available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week through any Bank of America ATM;
* Convenience-Cards can be used everywhere Visa or MasterCard debit cards are accepted-in stores, online or by phone;
* Customer Service-Bank of America representatives can assist you 24 hours per day, 7 days per week via internet or toll-free number.
