The Historic Rental Initiative consists of forty (30 for lease) single-family homes in the historic Fourth Ward community. The development includes thirteen newly constructed and twenty-seven homes rehabilitated in line with historical society standards. The homes masterfully complement the architectural vernacular of the community. In 2004, the project received the Landmark Award from the Houston Business Journal for the Best Community Impact.
